ABOUT THE AUTHOR

 

Gary Lewis is a retired Primary School Teacher and School Chaplain. He has also spent the last 15 years mentoring School Chaplains. His career other than many years in Primary School education, has involved Children’s Ministry and Church Pastoral ministry, spanning more than 50 years of teaching and ministry. His extensive lay ministry has also included Worship Leading, Preaching, Prayer Ministry Coordinator and Church eldership over many years.

He has been married for almost 50 years, with 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren. 

Gary has been a creator of games over a number of years and has published 3 books: 'Courtyard Games', 'Elephant Snot & Marble Kisses' and 'Aging Brains ... Ancient Games'. He has run games workshops for school students and teachers, and more recently for Seniors citizens - raising money for Dementia Australia.

He has also authored several children’s books ― picture story books and novels ― all of which are based on true stories from his chaplaincy work with primary-aged students. 

In 2020 Gary also ventured into the adult arena of writing books on Christian Living ... with a particular focus on prayer and prayer hesitancy.
